Bloodborne Pathogen
American Safety & Health Institute’s Bloodborne Pathogens program
includes information that will help students understand what bloodborne
pathogens are and how risks of exposure can be reduced for themselves
and others.
Individuals who do not work in the healthcare field but are occupationally
required to, or desire to, have CPR knowledge and skills.
First Aid
ASHI Basic First Aid was created to help students develop basic first aid
knowledge, skills, and the confidence to respond.
Advanced First Aid
American Safety & Health Institute’s Advanced First Aid program is
designed for non-EMS responders including government, corporate,
industry, lifeguards, security personnel, law enforcement, corrections
personnel and other individuals who are not EMS or healthcare providers.
This expert-level program helps keep healthcare professionals prepared
and ready to respond as they encounter life-threatening emergencies,
provide basic life support, and respond to choking and other airway
obstruction incidents. (equivalent to AHA BLS)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support
American Safety & Health Institute’s Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
program was created to train emergency personnel to recognize
cardiopulmonary emergencies (including cardiac arrest and peri-arrest
conditions) and other medical emergencies.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support
American Safety & Health Institute’s Pediatric Advanced Life Support
(PALS) program was created to provide healthcare professionals with
training in the recognition and treatment of conditions that may lead to
cardiopulmonary arrest in an infant or child.
Wilderness First Aid
Wilderness environments create special situations not usually
encountered in an urban or suburban environment , be prepared with ASHI
wilderness first aid.
Child & Babysitting Safety (CABS)
The Child and Babysitting Safety training program is designed to focus on
supervising, caring for, and keeping children and infants safe in babysitting
settings. The program provides fundamental information in the business of
babysitting, proper supervision, basic caregiving skills, and responding
properly to ill or injured children or infants.
Emergency Medical Technician Refresher
This 30 hour refresher course follows teaching standards set forth by the
state of Ohio EMS board and National Registry of Emergency Medical
Advanced EMT Refresher
This 40 hour AEMT refresher course follows the standards set forth by the
State of Ohio board of EMS and the National Registry of Emergency Medical
Paramedic Refresher
This 48 hour paramedic refresher course follows the standards set forth by
the state of Ohio board of EMS and the National Registry or Emergency
Medical Technicians.
Monthly EMS CEU
The M&M Fire Department holds monthly EMS CEU’s that are always open
to the EMS community. These classes are generally one to two hours in
length on various topics.

and the Fire Chief for their experience not
only in the field of EMS but in education.

The M&M Fire Department has a spacious
class room that will ensure your comfort and
ease of learning. The learning environment
will provide you a setting that is free of
distractions and allows students to focus.

The educational Medical Director that over
sees all of M&M Fire Departments classes is
Dr. Howard Werman. Dr. Werman is a
physician at The Ohio State Medical Center
and is the Medical Director of central Ohio’s
premier helicopter aeromedical EMS
system. Dr. Werman personally approves
any CEU or Refresher classes before the
M&M Fire Department education staff
presents them to students.

At M&M Fire we will guarantee that each
student that comes to us will receive
personal attention during each class. Our

students feedback is taken seriously. If your
are unsatisfied with an instructor or a class
we will take that complaint very seriously

All classes conducted by the M&M FD will
result in either certification or CEU’s.
Students are expected to be punctual in
their arrival and stay throughout the entire
class to obtain credit.

We do ask that all students come
representing themselves as professionals
(duty pants and a department shirt).

Classes will need to be paid in full in
advance unless other options have been
arranged prior to the start date of class.
